I so much abhor inefficiencies, that, when I spot some, I quickly take on the challenge to lead people and make the change for excellence. I am assertive, strategic and decisive, with a natural desire to lead and, with passion for knowledge and competence, I make sure people push their boundaries.

So is the automotive industry or many other industries, but the shipping industry still lags behind on the scale of global transformation we have seen in other sectors. I strive to lead people to accelerate the transition to a safer and more sustainable shipping.
Today, I lead a team of senior strategy and business development managers to keep seafarers connected, anytime, anywhere, without compromise and ensure the highest levels of security, safety, crew welfare and accelerate digital transformation.

In a decade with Rolls-Royce Marine, I held key positions including Vice President Engineering for Motion Handling Solutions where I led a team realizing technological solutions for the Marine and Offshore industry. As Vice President of Intelligent Asset Management, I led a team realizing digital solutions for condition and performance management for the Marine Industry as well as the transformation towards autonomous ships.
Today I have the honor to head Maritime Digital at Inmarsat, pushing the boundaries of digitization at sea powered by Inmarsat platform connectivity and IoT solutions. Inmarsat is the world’s leading provider of global mobile satellite communications and a major player in the market for digital and technological solutions to the marine and offshore industry.
In addition, I am a board member of Inspire To Action, an organisation leveraging digital capabilities in edutainment with the intent to communicate an engaging message of sustainability.
Strong of a master education in engineering (MSc), I have been managing engineering and technology to deliver cutting edge system solutions.
I started programming back in the days when my father, an IT manager in a bank, brought home the manuals of COBOL 85. The love for mechanics and automation came later at university. In digital solution for the maritime industry, I can join together my passion for the sea, software and mechanics.
Today, digital solutions, powered by connectivity and communication, are at the intersection of software (e.g. artificial intelligence and data analytics) and hardware (i.e. machines).
I am excited to combine so many different engineering disciplines to solve some of the most complex challenges and make a positive impact on world economics and the environment.
