How do I operate?
My approach focuses on maximizing people's potential through effective leadership strategies. Transformational leadership is all about empowering individuals: identifying their right potential and nurturing it. By developing others to higher levels of ability, we encourage them to view their work from new perspectives.
In terms of business development, it’s crucial to challenge the status quo to foster innovation and drive sales. Just because something has always been done a certain way doesn’t mean it’s the best approach now; as Einstein said, "the answers have changed." Reject mediocrity and be willing to dismantle and rebuild when necessary. Teach for differentiation, create constructive tension, and take control of the economic drivers to effectively "make the pie bigger" for everyone involved.
Start simply, lean, and aim to improve later. Simplify, simplify, and simplify again! By removing inefficiencies, you can replicate and scale effectively. Don’t continue down the wrong path; instead, focus on fixing the basics. Apply a systematic perspective to identify what won’t help us "make the boat go faster" and eliminate it. There’s beauty in simplicity; being good enough is a great starting point. Quickly deploy solutions, identify what needs fixing, and remember not to write things in stone. Embrace continuous improvement to drive transformational change.

I quickly identify illogical and inefficient systems and develop intelligent solutions in response, embracing leadership strategies that drive transformational change.
I so much abhor inefficiencies that when I spot them, I eagerly take on the challenge to lead others and facilitate change for excellence. I am assertive, strategic, and decisive, with a natural desire to lead. My passion for knowledge and competence ensures that people are encouraged to push their boundaries.

With a strong foundation from my education in business administration (MBA), I have been effectively managing business units and driving consistent growth through innovative business development initiatives. Over a decade with Rolls-Royce Marine, I occupied key leadership positions including Vice President Engineering for Motion Handling Solutions, where I led a team focused on delivering technological solutions for the Marine and Offshore industry. Subsequently, as Vice President of Intelligent Asset Management, I directed efforts towards digital solutions for condition and performance management in the Marine Industry, positioning the organization for transformational change towards autonomous ships. Currently, I have the honor of leading strategy and business development at Inmarsat, a global leader in mobile satellite communications and a significant contributor to digital and technological advancements within the marine and offshore sectors.

With a strong master’s degree in engineering (MSc), I have been managing engineering and technology to deliver cutting-edge system solutions, focusing on business development in various sectors.
My programming journey began when my father, an IT manager at a bank, introduced me to COBOL 85 manuals. My passion for mechanics and automation developed later during my university education. In my work on digital solutions for the maritime industry, I find the perfect synergy between my love for the sea, software, and mechanics.
Today, we see digital solutions, driven by connectivity and communication, at the crossroads of software (such as artificial intelligence and data analytics) and hardware (including advanced machinery).
I am thrilled to leverage diverse engineering disciplines and leadership strategies to drive transformational change, addressing some of the most complex challenges while making a positive impact on global economics and the environment.
